The Triple Nest
A newlywed couple and their cat desired an intimate home in a high-density urban apartment. The design integrates three functional zones through layered spaces to realize “home as a whole.” Sliding doors merge bedroom and study, enabling interconnected movement. The study blends into the living area with shared desks and displays, turning corridors into interactive space. A large glass panel joins kitchen and living/dining room, allowing visual connection between occupants and cat. Decoration is minimized; original beams and walls are exposed. Variations in ceiling height, materials, and spatial flow create depth and movement. Minimalist, transparent, and intimate—the space embodies shared life.
