Shanghai Bay Mansion Flat Private Residence
The case is located in the Xuhui Riverside Plate, Shanghai. It is surrounded by the "first-line river view" of the Golden Bay, which is naturally formed by the intersection of Longhua Port and Huangpu River. The 8.4km riverside green corridor can be seen through an unobstructed french window. The entire design combines minimalism and naturalism, using a keen sense of detail, craftsmanship, materials, and artistic intuition to create a sense of spatial form and artistic atmosphere. The original residence is a typical frame structure, which is cut off by multiple small-sized spaces and appears isolated, creating a barrier between natural scenery and indoor environment. After understanding the owner's spatial needs, the designer will reconstruct the overall space. In terms of indoor layout, starting from the living needs of modern people, an open layout is adopted to stretch the scale of the entire space, creating a transparent sense of space. The spacious living room, dining area, and kitchen are integrated with each other, allowing family members to easily interact. A large area of french window will be reserved to extend the pleasant natural light and riverside scenery indoors, and the overall neutral tone will create a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Residents can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window at any time in different scenes, where space, nature, and people blend together. For "naturalism", special attention is paid to the use of natural materials in the selection of hard furnishings, such as using texture art coatings throughout the space, hand brushing to create a subtle texture, delicate yet slightly rough texture. On the soft furnishings, we select the original Manshe Natural series furniture, mainly made of natural solid wood and cotton and linen fabrics from Belgium. The black geometric hanging painting in the living room, about 3 meters long, has a unique Eastern aesthetic. Simplified composition, using rice paper and ink wash, with various subtle changes of black, white, and gray, abandoning the frame, and directly completing the work with geometric shapes, bringing visual tension. To a certain extent, it adds a sense of installation art and sculpture art to the entire space. The decorative ornaments in the space, such as purple barnacles and coffee table ornaments, and non black starry conch metal ring decorations, are all from the French brand, Objet de Curiosit é; The handmade wooden bird sculpture on the side table comes from a collection collected during the journey. By using animal and plant specimens to decorate indoor homes, we bring more natural genes, spiritual energy, and uniqueness to our living space. The entire space, from the architectural structure to the accessories, is interconnected, with the intention of relaxing the space without tension, conveying a soft elegance, natural simplicity with a hint of expected delicacy, and always having a soul. The overall space does not have too many partitions, creating a sense of transparency. When the gaze is focused on the dining area. The natural textured dark wood veneer paired with marble custom-made Western Kitchen Island table, together with the solid wood long table and hanging chandelier, forms the visual focus. The dining area adheres to a consistent naturalism, using simple and plain design language to create a warm and authentic feeling of home life. The open french window let nature blend into the interior, connecting the original independent study with the bedroom, decorating it with logs, stones and natural artistic paint, matching with the independent cloakroom and bathroom area, to build a master bedroom space with vision and privacy. Art paintings inspired by geometry use abstract drawings to express the structure and curves of buildings, creating a lively, steady, and profound atmosphere. They are paired with floor lamps and single chairs to create a resting area. All bedrooms in the residence are not overly decorated, creating a quiet and soothing space with low saturation dark colors blended with natural wooden backgrounds. When natural light falls into the room, the light and shadow wander on the walls, floors, and objects, inadvertently presenting a dynamic beauty. This property is part of the Manser Mansion series, and the entire space carries the designer's understanding of residential living, their love and imagination for home life, and the unique aesthetic expression created from it. The core of relaxation is nature. When nature runs through, flows, breathes, and extends in space... the entire space shines with a delightful radiance, truly becoming an installation that combines practicality and aesthetic significance. Life can be both simple and leisurely, as well as poetic and distant.
